Alemany studied at the School of Applied Arts and then furthered his education at the School of Fine Arts of Valencia. His restless and adventurous spirit led him to travel throughout Europe, spending one year between Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. He used those journeys to establish contact with some of the prevailing art movements of the time.

His work conveys great expressiveness and an interest in experimentation, discovery and a total engagement with painting. The artist also uses with an idiom reminiscent of .

His first solo exhibition took place at Galerie Lüpke, in Frankfurt. Recently, in 2012 he was acclaimed for his show Ladeira do Desterro at Galeria Sergio Caribé in Sao Paulo. He has also exhibited in Tel Aviv, Lisbon and Buenos Aires, among other cities.
