Francesca Poza (Mataró, 1965) accrued a solid artistic grounding while working in the studios of the renowned artists Jordi Ayné, Jaume Arenas and Guerau Calabria, specializing in printmaking and pastel techniques. Her passion for art encouraged her to enrol at Escola Massana in Barcelona to study Graphic Design, further strengthening her foundation in the visual arts.

She added to her skills in 2012 and 2013 when she took a blacksmithing course at La Rectoria de Sant Pere de Vilamajor, as well as a workshop on silicone and resin moulding at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona.During the 2010-11 academic year, Francesca focused all her energy on experimental printmaking when she took part in a number of intensive courses organized by the La Rectoria de Sant Pere de Vilamajor contemporary art centre, which gave her a chance to explore new techniques and creative approaches.
Throughout her artistic career, she has shared her knowledge and experience by teaching printmaking courses for four years in Roser Sales’s printmaking workshop. She currently runs Deep Edicions, her own creative space where she continues to develop her work and offer courses and workshops.

Francesca is also very active in community-based educational initiatives, collaborating with institutions such as Deià Escola d’Art i Disseny and the Catalan association La Llar, offering support to people with mental illness. In addition, she is one of the founding members of the GAP art group and, since 2011, a member of the Impresions collective in Barcelona, dedicated to graphic work. She is also a member of the Maresmart group in Mataró.

Deeply committed to both art and community, Francesca Poza not only creates meaningful artworks but also inspires others to explore their creativity and express themselves through art. Her practice is predicated on sustained dedication to both learning and teaching within the arts.
