17th Century Dutch

Painter of still lifes.

Virtually nothing is known about the life of this artist except that he was active in The Hague in the third quarter of the 17th century, and very few of his works have been catalogued. His still lifes are reminiscent of those by Willem Claesz Heda (1594-1680) or Pieter Steenwijck (ca.1615-after 1656).
