20th Century Spanish

Salcedo exhibited her first works at Sala Genaro Poza, in Huesca, when she was still in secondary school. She went on to study in Barcelona, graduating in painting from the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts. At the time her work contained a strong element of protest, using large format mural paintings and posters as her main means of expression.

In the 1970s the artist started working on multidisciplinary projects combining costumes, videos, texts and photographs, although still revolving primarily around painting. She later focused on the study of visual experimentation through the effect of light on large monochrome structures.

Salcedo has exhibited her work in countless solo and group exhibitions and for three years running she took part in the ARCO art fair with Galería Antonia Puyó.
