With a degree in Fine Arts from the Sant Jordi School, Barcelona, Cabrera views his painting as the end result of interrelating sensibility, observation and analysis of everything he feels and exists around him.

From the matter-based figuration of the 1980s to his most recent work, in which he alters and reinterprets iconic figures from Art History, his practice can be seen as a staunch defence of painting.
